Railway Law
We provide comprehensive services for companies from the broadly defined railway industry, including railway carriers, railway operators, producers of fleet and elements of infrastructure, subjects responsible for the maintenance and other subjects operating in this sector.
We represent clients in the proceedings before the Chairman of the Office of Rail Transportation and European Railway Agency concerning in particular:
- proceedings concerning obtaining permits placing railway vehicles on the market and certificates authorizing types for operation;
- the ERTMS pre-authorisation,
- authorisations for placing in service of structural subsystems
Energy Law & Environmental Compliance
We provide services for energy companies covering production, distribution, and turnover of electric energy, heat, and gas and liquid fuels in the energy sectors. The scope of our competence covers particular regulatory issues such as: responsibilities of licensed companies and their sanctioning by the Chairman of the Energy Regulatory Office, concession and tariff proceedings, adversarial proceedings, support systems for renewable energy, high performance cogeneration and energy efficiency, capacity market and issues related to the carbon emissions trading permissions. Our clients include one of the biggest energy enterprises in Poland.

We advise on the mergers and acquisitions at every stage of their implementation. We advise sellers on the preparation of the object of transaction for sale via vendors due diligence, on the preparation of transaction documents, and during the process of negotiations. We help buyers in structuring the transaction, conducting a due diligence, negotiations, and efficient takeover of the operational control over the purchased asset, including post-transaction integration. We advise our clients both in the standard purchases of enterprises or nonpublic companies (share deal and asset deal) and in the complex transactions on the public market. We work for individual clients, family companies, and investment funds.

Court and Arbitration Proceedings
We advise on a variety of complex disputes and at every stage of their development. We have long experience in advising clients at the pre-court stage and representing them before common courts, the Supreme Court, and administrative court. We act for clients before arbitration tribunals (ICC, SA KIG, Sąd Lewiatan, DIS) and in post-arbitration proceedings.
Experience highlights:
– representing energy companies e.g., in disputes concerning payments for non-balanced electric energy and disputes concerning liability under insurance contract;
– support and legal representation in numerous construction disputes, acting for the investors, contractors and design studios;
– representing an investor in a dispute for compensation for the conversion of real estate in a local land development plan (Supreme Court file no. II CSK 98/13 and II CSK 569/14);

Bankruptcy and Restructuring
We represent in and consult on the national and foreign restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings. We skillfully combine our experience in advising on transaction with the representation before the common courts. We have experience in preparing reorganizational plans in cooperation with the renowned restructuring and economic advisers. We run judicial and nonjudicial restructuring. We assist clients in recovering their receivables in restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings.
