The expansion of Japanese investments onto the Polish market automatically generates the necessity of ensuring free movement of personnel – regarding both managers and workers. However, the provisions of Polish immigration law do not facilitate this process, making legalization of foreigners’ stay time-consuming and effortful.
 
Dr. Fabian Elżanowski, LL.M. (Berkeley), head of the Commercial, Corporate and M&A practice, and attorney Paweł Milart, senior associate, at the invitation of the Shokokai – Japanese employers’ association on June 16, 2023, presented to representatives of Japanese companies selected aspects related to the procedure for legalization of stay in Poland. The firm’s lawyers’ presentation focused on outlining the steps to be taken and the mistakes to be avoided so that obtaining a residence title takes the minimum amount of time and impedes a company’s day-to-day operations as little as possible.
